Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, Dumonplein

Place Dumon in the Brussels town of Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, was laid out at the beginning of the last century on the former estate of the Belgian politician August-Joseph Dumon. Initially the square served as the end point for a number of tram lines, but in addition there has been trade on and around Place Dumon since it’s construction. When the first buildings around the square appeared in the 1930s, the three-weekly market was also organized for the first time. A market that till now is still held triweekly. From the 1980s, the square was used as a parking lot, but in 2017 it was decided that the square would be redesigned, it would lose its parking function and it would be turned into a lovely open square. This redesign uses ANAE tree grates, the Vire model in three different sizes and the Vesder model in the elongated version.
